Lorna Goddard – Clinical Director
Dr Lorna Goddard is clinical director of The Goddard Clinic. She is a Chartered Psychologist and accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist with 15 years of experience working as a psychotherapist within the private sector. Working with individuals and couples, she helps people overcome their life difficulties and achieve a life in tune with their values and goals. Although she primarily uses a cognitive behavioural approach in her work, she also draws on other therapeutic approaches so that her therapy is individually tailored to her clients’ needs.
Lorna is also an academic. She holds a senior lectureship at Goldsmiths College where she specializes in teaching psychopathology and treatments for psychological disorders. She is a firm believer in providing evidence- based practice and her research interests lie in developing specialist psychological interventions for autism and for perinatal and postnatal mood disorders. She is also currently researching psychological techniques for improving sports and theatre performance.
Lorna is accredited by the British Psychological Society, British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy and the British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis. She holds an enhanced clearance certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
